Running Water 5k

Sherwood, OR

We run locally to change lives globally! We partner with World Vision to provide families in Zambia with clean water.

Running Water is a 5K run/walk hosted by Cedar Creek Church (formerly Sherwood Presbyterian) to raise money and awareness on behalf of World Vision for the plight of AIDS-impacted children. We’re also partnering with Water Africa, a Portland-based volunteer group working to provide clean drinking water in Zambia.

We are astounded that $35 can provide clean water for one person for his or her entire lifetime!

Proceeds from this event support the cost of providing clean water, as well as providing sanitation and hygiene training so that the clean water does not get contaminated. Clean water greatly reduces infant mortality rates, enables girls to go to school, and frees parents up to provide for their families by farming or commerce.
